CHAPTER FIVE

It was impossible to tell what Andrew was feeling. His expression darkened at her words, and his eyes blazed as he stalked towards her. She saw a terrible, uncontrollable fire burning in the depths of his amber eyes, and she clutched her crumpled clothes tightly to her bare chest.

Raw pain and fury, disbelief and shock swirled in his eyes as he grabbed her.

“You think that you're not worthy, not wanted?” His look was murderous.

She grimaced but didn't look away. “No one would want me. No werewolf would want me anyway.” She shrugged.

“I want you, Leah. I. Want. You. The moment I saw you, I wanted you. And I want you more than ever now. My wolf is clawing at me, trying to get to you. My wolf wants you. And I want you. As a man. A lover,” he growled.

Her eyes widened. “You...can't be serious.”

“If you let me, I'll show you just how serious I am.”

She scowled at him. Was he taunting her, testing her, making fun of her?

Well, two could play at that game.

“Fine. If you want me, you may have me,” she declared haughtily, jerking her head up. Dropping her clothes to the floor, she said in a clear, strong voice, “If you want me, then take me, Andrew.”

She took a deep breath and waited, feeling her face flush with embarrassment and disappointment. She had called his bluff, hadn't she? He didn't really want her. No one wanted her.

His movements were so fast she didn't even have time to cry out. In a flash, he swept her up in his arms and carried her to the bed. He covered her mouth with his and kissed her long and hard. His kiss was deep, demanding and urgent, but his touch was gentle. His large hands moved slowly down her body, cupping her breasts and softly kneading them. His touch, his kiss ignited an inferno in her core, and she was helpless to resist him. She moaned into his mouth as he circled her nipples with his thumbs and teased them relentlessly. When she arched her back, he kissed and sucked his way down her neck and began to suckle her greedily. Her nipples were now throbbing and aching, and she wanted more, needed more.
